Cliff - you just sounded like the biggest tool ever, Zito has been washed up and inconsistent for a while now, then he has a good opening to a season which is nice but do you really think it’s going to last 162 games? and be worth 18.5 million? No, they could better spend that money on a hitter and bring up their prospect pitcher finally. Sticking with a player has nothing to do with being a “true fan” sticking to the team does and the team doesn’t need Zito, way to wait like 2 years to post that comment, I bet you were stoked when Zito started the season good not because it was good for the Giants but because you could finally post that stupid ass comment.

Actually Cliff, I am a true fan and think now more than ever its a great time to trade Barry Zito. With his success this year (ALTHOUGH VERY EARLY) he actually might become an interesting pick up for someone with money to spend. If we could somehow trade him and drop his $18.5 Million a year contract, that would make it even more realistic to go after a big bat in July. It would also free up a spot for MadBum to come up and pitch.

Sticking to a player doesn’t make you a true fan. Sticking to a team does. I stick to the Giants and whats best for the team as a whole.

Great website. Not only does Zito stink, so does Sabean, Wilson, all our relievers, Renteria, etc. Taschner and Walker were two of the worst relievers in the history of baseball.
